In this program, David will focus on our cultural and biological perception and use of color. He will demonstrate elements of the history and science of color in landscape painting. What do colors mean in different cultures? David will (1) demonstrate how to mix and employ color for dramatic effects, how to use varieties of chromatic harmonies, and how to use color to evoke motion and space, (2) explore how past masters have used color, and (3) demonstrate new technologies for color effects.
